Drogba: “I want to leave Chelsea,” he is quoted as saying in an issue of France Football magazine that will be published on Friday morning. “Something is broken with Chelsea.

After Mourinho was let go of Chelsea the teams morale has been low and their fifth place in the Premiership is proof.  We all know about Mourinho’s on and off field antics but there was definitely something about him that every one either loved or respected.  That something about Mourinho gave the players a reason to fight on the field and was probably a large part of their motivation.  His confidence, arrogance and the way he related to the players allowed Mourinho to get the best out of his team.  A team is 11 players plus one, the coach (manager), and all the players on the bench and the whole organization.   People always say the manager doesn’t play on the pitch.  This is true but he prepares you for the pitch and can give you something to play for.   My question is how important is a coach?

This guy has stee! I’d love to play for a manager with some character like him…
